Beautiful park to drive through and or bike / walk through.. Great location on having a grill out and or having a picnic of whatever you decide to bring along.!Many beautiful spots to pullover to sit as you enjoy the beauty of mother nature as you read a good book. Plenty of outside benches throughout the park to also sit at... Overall it's just a beautiful place to relax at as you get your mind off from the stress of life...! 🌳🌳🌳

Beautiful, woodsy park. Lots of picnic areas spread throughout the park. A few wooded hiking paths. No entrance fee. Cute train ride available. Amazing inclusive playground - perfect for family get-togethers and kids birthday parties. Access to the Chippewa river.

Very nice park that has been around for a long time. It has a number of baseball and softball fields as well as walking or biking paths and roads to drive on. It is very scenic with little Half Moon Lake and the Eau Claire river close by.

A beautiful afternoon to enjoy a bike ride within the trails of Carson Park! Nature and art in unison support well being....every day!!

This park has more stuff than I could possibly list: museum, baseball park, railroad track, lake, and the list goes on and on.Days of fun to be had here and easy to access on foot, bike, or by car. As long as there ain’t some major event you’ll always find adequate parking.

There is lots to do here, many options for different developmental stages and inclusivity. My kids really like the story walk that the library has here too. The only problem with this park is that it is pretty large so it can be hard to keep track of kids since it tends to be busy here. Also, be aware that if it's a really sunny day the play ground can get super hot because of the black crumb rubber on part of the play ground.

Definitely among my top 3 favorite city parks that I've ever been to. While the open areas and kids' playground section are quite nice, what I like most about Carson Park is that there's also a ton of lakeside pathways and patches of woods to explore! And let's not forget about all of the wildlife as well!

Excellent park! Sadly, it took the parks department a very long time to open up the main road, so people couldn’t enjoy the entire park until 100% of the snow was melted, when they easily could’ve made one pass with a plow and opened up the road weeks earlier. Additionally, a majority of the trash bins, and porta potties are in the middle of the park, which makes it incredibly inconvenient for dog owners who pick up their dogs droppings and carry transport them to the nearest trash can. Litter is a problem at Carson Park, I’ve picked up several bags this spring, but feel that it’s the fault of the city for poor distribution of trash cans. Very important to consider the visitors’ experience rather than the ease and convenience of city workers (I’ve worked for a public works park department and it would maybe take one person an hour to change bags once a week). Great park overall.

Great place to have a picnic or to go for a bike ride or a walk. They have a couple play grounds for kids to play on and multiple different spots for fishing. There is also a couple places around where you can go kayaking. The eau claire baseball stadium is also here, they have many games during spring and they are quite cheap to get into. Overall I would highly reccomend going here for a good time. 👍

Went down to Carson on a warm October Sunday while the leaves were at their most vibrant stage. I went to lay in a hammock to catch up on some things for work and it was very relaxing .It was nice to so so many people our walking the trails, jogging, kayaking, fishing, celebrating with family and friends or just sitting and enjoying their lunch.

Carson Park is a fantastic area to hang out, offering a variety of activities for everyone. Fishing at Half Moon Lake is always a relaxing experience, while the trails are perfect for walking, running, or biking. Catching a baseball game with the Eau Claire Express adds to the park's charm, making it a lively spot for sports enthusiasts. The park's vibrant atmosphere and diverse recreational options make it a favorite local destination. Highly recommended for a fun and active day out!

What a great venue to watch some great baseball! The concessions need some help, they weren't able to kick food out very quickly. Prices were all reasonable, though!! Will definitely be back!

We love going to Carson park! There is so much to do there. Sunday afternoons during the summer we love the train rides! Cooler summer days we love the playground! It’s great fun for my 2 and 3 year old. We’ve also loved fishing at half moon lake.

Nice playground for the kids. One challenging area to throw a line in and fish. One large mouth bass was caught and released.The bathroom was nice too with flushing toilets and running water.

Nice woods to walk and enjoy. Large playground for kids. And Plenty of room for people to have picnics everywhere. With walking trails, add occasionally animals to view. In certain times of the year, the trains of the kids get to ride on

Women come to the park dressed to impress when it's cold while there kids don't wear jackets hats or gloves. Seen a little girl playing outside with no jacket,hat, or socks or shoes and she was like two. While her mom wore timberlands had on a nice jacket hat and gloves. Made me feel so bad for that kid

Rich baseball history and felt like pure small town baseball, this was a stop on a longer trip, best baseball atmosphere of the trip which included a stop at the CWS. HIGHLY recommend all baseball lovers to make a point of going here for a game.

Love this park! We brought My niece's two year old boy to the playground and it is nicely padded which made us feel more secure, As they are less likely to be severely hurt if they fall!He had a great time!

Beach and lake activities are great swimming,fishing and kayaking. Small scale train rides baseball and other sports games.

Eau Claire is very lucky to have such a beautiful and historic venue to watch a baseball game at. Personally I enjoy the Fan Deck and its all you can eat features. But no matter where you sit it's like a time machine for baseball lovers.

My son had his birthday party at the Pine pavilion. It was a great experience.

Cute park , big playground . Not much for little -little kids geared mostly for kinder and above . We went on a Sunday late afternoon it was busy but the kids got to experience the whole thing . Beautiful scenery and trails .

Carson Park is one of my favorite parks to visit, especially in the fall. They're such beautiful scenery and wonderfully maintained walking trails and park grounds. Take a little visit today. It's worth it. Take a break out of your day and smell the fresh air and enjoy nature at its finest. One of Eau Claire's treasures, and it's so easy to get to. There's also opportunities to enjoy Moon Lake as well. It will definitely add a positive to your day!

We found this park by chance while passing though and have returned year after year while heading north on vacation. The park is in a quiet area and the playground is well kept.

By far one of our favorite brewery stops this trip!It was busy when we got there but the line moved quickly! All of the bartenders were VERY friendly, informative, and engaging even with a full bar, taproom, and wedding happening!The food trucks outside are a nice touch!The beer flavors are so unique that you just want to keep trying them all! We loved the variety of sours and IPA!We recommend anyone that's in the area to swing by and try it out!!

Add this place to the list to stop by and have a delicious beer. Great outdoor space right next to the river. They have a second floor patio with great views of the city. Lots of variety to choose from.

Brew selection is mediocre mostly IPA's. Cool building and outside seating area. Has many tables games to play while enjoying your favorite adult brew.

Great selection of beer, spacious indoor seating, and generally positive vibes all around. Dog friendly, as long as your dog (and you) are well behaved. Worthy of multiple return trips in our opinion, for research purposes...

The Brewing Project is a very IPA heavy brewing in downtown Eau Claire. The building is historic and impressive located right along the river. There is lots of indoor seating patio seating, and a raised patio. The beer quality is very high while I am not an IPA person they still have a few other varieties including a barrel aged stout which was right up my alley. I have been here many times with friends and for large functions. You should put this on your list even if you are not into IPAs; there will be something for you and they have done a lot to bring back this old building along the river.

The atmosphere is unique to the area and is very cool. The outdoor area is fun with river views and 2 firepits. The brews are good and just as unique as the brewery itself. I will be back when I'm in the area again!

Great selection of beers and very friendly staff. Beautiful outdoor patio and rooftop deck overlooking the river. Also loved that we could have our dog along, both inside and outside. We were camping 45 minutes north of there and drove there two consecutive days because it was such an awesome place!

Steer clear, this place ridiculous. The girls handing out beers should be working Culver's not a brewery. Boring, no music. It was literally like a family reunion when Auntie Gladys and great grandpa only others showing up. Beet not that great you couldn't enjoy better SERVERS and especially atmosphere elsewhere.

2nd time visiting this brewery since 2017 & 1st time checking out the new relocated facility 1 block from the former. Was brewery hopping between 12/15/21-12/16/21 all the breweries in Durand, Menomonie & EC. This new facility is the largest of the 9 visited. Staff was friendly and prompt Only downside is pricey, flight of 3 was $10... Another brewery I hit had a flight of 3 for $5.

I cannot say enough good things about the beer that they make here at The Brew Projekt. Forget everything you though you knew about regular boring beer and try some of the unique sours, IPA, and Ales. I have never been a big beer guy, hops make my mouth tingle so I have long struggled to find brews that I like. Sour beers tend to be my favorite and these guys have so much of that style of beer.

We went on Wednesday morning for there were a lot of open spaces but still a lot of veggie, bakery, flowers and an egg stand. We can't wait to go back on a Saturday.

Best in the area. Wide range of produce and other food. Lots of options to eat there. I highly recommend the kolaches normally set up in the back corner, nice and warm deliciousness. Most weekends there is an art market next to it and plenty of places to walk around.

What a great market! There's an incredible variety of produce. I visited in late September, and I was thrilled to buy three new-to-me apples, local maple syrup, and local cheddar cheese. Everyone I talked to was so very friendly and happy to discuss their wares.

A farmer’s market that would be the envy of large cities. The produce, meat, flowers, baked goods, crafts, and everything in between are second to none!! We are truly fortunate to have such a talented selection of folks around Eau Claire!

This is the best farmer's market we have ever been to. Variety of veggies, breads, flowers is incredible. Everything so clean and reasonably priced. Vendors super friendly! Love it!

Pretty nice farmers market with a variety of items to choose from. You can purchase wooden coins from the main stand to use in exchanges for product. Some of the vendors do accept payment through some of the apps, but not all. I will definitely continue to visit this farmers market in the future.

The market is great! Along with what you expect with fresh produce. There's many other vendors home made items for the kitchen. And live music too.

You'll be able to find a large variety of both fruits and vegetables! Among with some dinner really cool crafts! The venue is nice and located right around the downtown area and has some convient downtown parking opportunity. There's a ramp very close nearby too for only 50C/hr.There's also a lot of food trucks that will come to the farmers market too!!

The fresh veggies are great.The vendors are very nice, and there are some beautiful boquets of flowers available for purchase as well.The craft fair was fun to look through.Sue Orfield honored us with beautiful music as well this Saturday morning.I enjoyed it.Parking is very difficult to find, especially handicapped parking.That needs to be addressed...

I love the Eau Claire farmers market. Located along the river, with great selections beautiful views to enjoy. Many times they also have entertainment as well.

Was surprised to see egg rolls plus. They have the best. Got some goodies while there and they had music. Super glad I went today!

The Eau Claire Farmers Market is the best thing that downtown Eau Claire has to offer. On Saturday mornings during the summer you'll find everything from fresh seasonal vegetables to fresh flowers to fresh baked goods, it's all there. There is also live music to brighten your day. Then next door in the park area there are local craft vendors. All in all, it's a great way to spend a Saturday morning/afternoon.

Beautiful setting, numerous vendors with a variety of products professionally displayed makes this market a must visit.

Volume One magazine was a pretty good local magazine when it first came out, and for maybe the first couple of years it was out. Now it's filled mostly with advertisem*nts and fluff pieces for any kind of stories, which are very few. I keep picking up an issue, sometimes, hoping that it has gotten better, only to see that it's been a waste of my time to thumb through it. Won't someone in this town actually put out a magazine that is worth reading? The only thing this magazine is good for, is to line a bird cage.

Good place to find souvenirs. They have pretty much all you can think of for a Wisconsin (...and Eau Claire) souvenir. We (my wife and I) usually come here when we want special gifts for a friend or family member.

The Volume One Local Store in Eau Claire is a really fun store. The smell of scented candles wafted over us when we walked in. They have a nice selection of books from or about the area, as well as local drinks, cheeses, treats, and knick knacks. It is across the street from the Oxbow hotel, and a stone's throw from Ramone's ice cream shop. Yum! 😋

I can always find something new and interesting. It's a great place to find Eau Claire and Wisconsin specific gifts and goods!

Not only was the pricing competitive at V1, the baskets were far better than anything we have done in the past. We received several comments about how amazing the baskets were.Another great feature to this service is the ability to include our company's branded merch, with the baskets. This is our second time at The Lakely. We didn't have food, only drinks. They had a jazz band, and it was actually a very good band. All young, talented, promising musicians from Eau Claire. They do live music every Friday as well some other days, too. Would love to try again next time.

Very much enjoyed our weekend experience at The Lakely. James, David and Kane took great care of us as we sat at the bar both nights. It was amazing watching the care and professionalism they take to make delicious co*cktails. The food was delicious and the Live Jazz performing in the background was a perfect addition.

Imagine the disappointment. You find The Lakely. You choose to stay in the Oxbow Hotel for a weekend because of it. You check out the menu. You find a unique craft co*cktail you’re really excited to try. You get there right when they open on a Saturday night. And you find out that the person who got there 1 minute before you got the last one of the co*cktails you wanted. Ok. Poor planning on their part. Bad luck on your part. Move on. So you order the other co*cktail you thought looked cool. And, nope. They’re out of that one too. Same for your third choice. And no attempt to recover. No offer to make a similar drink with one modification. Just indifference from the staff. How much disappointment should a co*cktail bar serve? I’m sure the co*cktails are great…when they have them. We walked away from what would have been a hundred dollar dinner. We live thousands of miles away, and they’re not open the rest of the time we’re here, so there’s no “next time”. I’d say go early, but that is no guarantee that they’ll have what you’re hoping for. So, prepare for disappointment and be pleasantly surprised if they can actually deliver on their promise.

co*cktails 5/5, food 2/5. Wish Google allowed separate ratings, as this place is really great for drinks and live music. Other than the burger and koldtbord, nothing else we’ve had here is worth paying for. Not sure what’s going on in the kitchen but we’ve had just about everything on menu and the food is really lacking (other than burger and fries, which are pretty good). Really want this to be the best spot in EC and it could be with better kitchen quality control. But as it is, hard to recommend for dinner. Highly recommend for co*cktails and jazz.

The place has a nice vibe. We went on Tuesday, which is open mic night/. There were some good performers, they get to do 2 songs each.It’s counter service now. Order drinks and food at the end of the bar and they deliver to your table. I don’t like it. Maybe it’s a staffing issue.The menu is very limited. Maybe 4 starters and 4 entrees and one special item.This is not the Lakely menu that it once was.4 co*cktails, their version of a charcuterie board and 2 Philly steak sandwiches (called shredded cheese sandwiches) was $120. Tip optional due to the wages they pay all staff.The co*cktails were really amazing, and entertaining to watch the bartenders craft them.Next time likely will be drinks only, skip the food.

TLDR: Sober people, please BEWARE. They have a mocktail list but served me an alcoholic beverage instead of the mocktail I ordered.When my aunt recommended this bar to me, I had high hopes considering that they had a mocktail list, and I’ll be 2 years sober in December. Not only did our 4 drinks take 30 minutes to get to us, but the woman who served us our drinks did not know what drink was what. We had to play the guessing game and pass around our drinks several times to figure it out. The woman said she was a front-desk employee and had to step in because they were busy and understaffed, which I completely understand…I was a hostess/waitress for 8 years. However, being busy doesn’t excuse serving a sober person an alcoholic beverage, ESPECIALLY when she reassured me by saying “This one has no alcohol in it.” This isn’t an understaffing issue, this is a safety and carelessness issue where the employees working at a bar don’t know what their drinks look like. I unfortunately accidentally drank alcohol that night due to a careless mistake. Thankfully, I’m strong in my sobriety and am not going to let this throw me off my rocker. If you are sober and intend on STAYING sober, I would stray away from this place. But if you’re a drunk or a drag queen, seems like a great spot!

My husband and I have been to the Lakely twice for food and drinks and have been blown away by the delicious food! We feel it’s some of the best food in downtown Eau Claire! The musicians we’ve heard playing on both nights were fantastic, the staff is so kind and the atmosphere is just all around lovely! I highly recommend the Lakely!

Stopped here for a drink with a couple friends on a a Friday night. It was busy but still had seats available. Live music was playing inside. I could have stayed all night outside on the patio. String lights, couches, high tops, fire pit. Great atmosphere and excellent co*cktails.

A group of us stayed at the oxbow hotel and ate dinner here. Pretty good food, good drinks. All of our tabs and orders got mixed up amongst the group and with another table. Other than that it was pretty good. We'd probably eat here again if we were to stay at the hotel.

Extraordinary experience! Service was on the highest level, food was delicious, music was stunning. It was my first time here, but definitely not the last. Thank you so much for an excellent work and the atmosphere that you create by working so hard.

Started out with the bone marrow appetizer. Wonderful, my favorite part of the meal! Then we ordered the quinoa and garlic cakes with sprouts and lemon dijon sauce, and pheasant roasted garlic vegetables and black walnut cream sauce. Chased with Wisco ginger ale and a sour beer. EXCELLENT! Great service too.

This evening I stopped by to get a salad at 5:15/5:30. There was one table that was sat otherwise it was just me. This is the lakely mixed green salad. I added the “pulled chicken.” I typically love most things I get here, I probably come by a few times a month. Unfortunately the chicken was so dry. Bone dry. It just was so disappointing for a $21 salad. I don’t mind paying that whatsoever but please, please add some moisture to the chicken. Maybe mine was a fluke but I was just sad. Still love this place and will try it again soon.

Meat upscale but not overly pretentious place. Serve old school co*cktails. Had jazz music on a Monday night. Interesting and neat decor in the hotel lobby. Warm fireplace.

Stopped in on our way through Minnesota on a sunny day! Made dinner and enjoyed the park with our dogs! Nice big park.

Rarely do I give a place a 5 star rating, however Mt. Simon park has been a huge part of my growing up! It has an excellent frisbee golfing course frequented by easy going regulars, a baseball field, volleyball sand courts, hiking trails, A CLIMBABLE ROCK face (and I mean harness wearing climbing, there's an eyebolt sunk deep into the top you can secure your rope to), a boat landing into Dells Pond, several nice picnic areas, clean bathrooms, the best cliffs to jump off in Eau Claire, although Im not sure if there's still a rope swing there or not, (you know how the Man is, always trying to restrict our personal freedoms, they've been known to cut the ropes off), and of course my person favorite amenity, THE TOPF OF THE WORLD. for those of you who aren't familiar, this is referring to the end of the trail to the top of the "mountain", which offers one of the best views available in the Chippewa Valey.

It's a very beautiful sight, and it's extremely high up. I would definitely recommend going here if you like long horizons.

I play the disc golf course here and it is such a great spot for beginners. 9 hole par 3 course with super flat and open areas and not too many trees. There is a good amount of variety on the holes and shots but all are fairly easy to the beginner. I love playing here and just practicing skills on this easy course.

Nice view from top. Unfortunately trash, beer bottles, and graffiti all over the place. Trail was unmarked and rough terrain. Wear good shoes.

Decent park. Convenient boat landing. It has a 9-hole disc golf course, but it does get cramped easily on days when the weather is nice.

We like the trails for kids and dogs. The top point of Mount Simon is very cool, even after climbing it for the last 38 years. The park proper is good too. The cliffs are still there! No age limit posted at the cliffs, but I'm too old...

It’s an incredibly unique spot! Despite the abundance of graffiti, there is an undeniable beauty that lies beneath it all. The vibrant, urban art merging into a colossal, nondescript masterpiece is a sight to behold. I couldn’t help but admire the panoramic views around every turn. The outlook from the top was nothing short of awe-inspiring, offering a captivating vista that stretched as far as the eye could see.

Love the frisbee golf course and all of the features of this park. Very family friendly and conveniently located.

This park is nice. Took the dog out to stretch his legs. Beautiful leaves and water scenery. Would love to have explored more but was just passing through on our road trip.

The park itself is a pretty okay park and it has a lot you can do besides looking at nature. There's a playground, a tennis court I believe, and access to the woods behind it. Overall, a pretty good park.

Beautiful place to throw disc's!!! The deer are usually out and not afraid of humans you can get pretty close. My kids love it here.

Kayaked Dells Pond and let in at the boat ramp. Lots of fun islands to cruise around. Many places are shallow enough to get out of the boat and take a break.

had a wonderful day here,saw deers and squirrels and took many photos for them. Colorful leaves already showed and so beautiful. Hiking around the lakeside,then crossed the hills and woods, we enjoyed.

The venue is amazing and the atmosphere is great. I would get portapotties closer to the music and more food choices. If it were hosted more frequently, I think a more diverse band choice would be greatly relieved. Wednesday music in the park is great if you were born before 1960. It's sponsored by 98.1 which doesn't broadcast oldies but it's all that's played with the exception of one or two weeks of the summer. They say the oldies draw more people. If they played the music live that they broadcast, it would draw more than retirees.

Lovely park and Veterans Memorial along the Eau Claire River. Touching memorial at the top and paved trail along the river. Beautiful banks of flowers, a small pond with a fountain, picnic area and dog friendly! Peaceful and relaxing for a walk.

Beautiful large park. Love to attend music in the park. Little creek runs through the park which kiddos play in. Lots of green area and very well kept. Can grab a bite to eat, coffee or even ice cream right in the park. Feel like a walk - a beautiful paved walking trail runs along the river. Quite a walk if you choose to do the entire loop. We love it here and are so lucky to have such a beautiful park in this area!

EllaMay Kay and her Nashville North Band for Kickin It Country was the best show in the park I have ever seen. She had the young and the old dancing to her music. Ellie sure know how to show a crowd on bringing them together and having a good time.Everyone had such a wonderful time!

This is an incredible park right on the river. Lots of amenities close by. Great trails, wonderful views, a real gem. There’s great picnic tables under a shelter by the lower parking lot. And there’s a wonderful monument to veterans. Lots of flowers. You won’t be disappointed if you give it a try.

It's a beautiful park. Great trails with lots of flowers and green space. Great splash pad and stream for kids to play. Some other small play things for kids - I would like to see additional playground there though.....wonderful pavilion area for weddings. I really think the park is great

We went to the Gigantic🎃 Pumpkin Fest. We entered our dogs in the costume contest. Unfortunately it rained a bit. But did not stop everyone from having a blast. There was stuff to see and do for everyone. The park itself has people/dog walking paths everywhere. A brook running down the middle of the park for kiddos to swim in. oh my goodness so so much to do. My favorite is the Veterans Park inside the park itself. God Bless America 🇺🇸 What a privilege to have these two parks in our community to share with other. Someone had a spectacular vision. Oh don't let me forget about the cabin coffee house in walking distance. So so so much more. Check out the web site I cannot say enough about the Beaty of this place. It is definitely a family place! Great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. If you have kids they'll love it here, but make sure to bring a swimsuit and a towel. The splash pad and mini creek is impossible to resist.

It's a nice little park with a good view and a clear river. There are two different areas you can go, one being a landing dock and the other is a park area with a little playground. The boat landing had a park area off to the side with more shade then the actual park

Fun park to brink the kids, and even the dog. The splash pad is basic but still fun, and the naturalized area with waterways for the kids to play in, wade in, walk planks over, etc is pretty nice. My girls enjoyed the jenga style houses to climb/play in and there are seating areas with tables for picnics which were quite nice too.

Beautiful area and park...great place for families with younger kids...small playground area..splash pad...nice trails...kids loved playing in water but rocks were a little slippery...recommend water shoes.

It is an awesome and beautiful park. I have been there 3 times on Wednesday nights for the Rock on the River. It would be nice if they can bring more bands that are more of the 80s music (classic rocks) and later years for younger generations than 50s, 60s or 70s. Over all, I still had fun and watching other older generations of having fun and out there dancing and grooving.

This local gem has special meaning to me being the home of the veterans tribute. I was blessed to be able to be part of the construction of the tribute T-C-O landscapes will have laid every memorial stone once completed. Please come down enjoy this beautiful park in honor of our vets who have given so much to us.
