Seeking like-mined rural landowner, you strive to live sustainably on the Earth, that could use a little help with projects around their property. I believe that you could use my help in exchange for a safe and quite place to live. You are feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of effort it's taking to maintain your property and would welcome my help. This help can be anything from weed whacking to renovating an outbuilding into a living space. Let's talk and discover how I can benefit you without a cash outlay. Let me know what your needs are. I am newly returned to Sonoma County. I first moved here in 1992 and lived on Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg. I drove school bus for work. I'm back because I missed riding my bike thru the vines. Now the rents are so high I need your help in making a life here. I could use your help, in exchange for my labor. I live an active and healthy life-style.
You may be getting on in years and could just use my help maintaining your property, so you can better Enjoy your Golden Years. This would be ideal for me, knowing I am of help to you. I could also do errands for you, like grocery shopping.
My ideal situation would be in Dry Creek Valley or the Russian River area. Something within 10 miles of the 101 or 116. I ran a wine tour van service out of Healdsburg from 2013-2016. I am a wine tourist at heart. I've helped with pruning and harvest. I am open to any rural land use situation. Let's talk!
I am a Jack-of-All-Trades. I am not licensed. Basically, I can do what any homeowner can legally do.
I've been living under a Barter for Rent arrangement since July 2017, with four different landowners. In each location I've helped renovate a house or trailer. This would entail painting, sheet rocking, plumbing, and exterior improvement such as brush clearing , gardening, or putting in a Bocce Ball court!! (See photo)
Along with the general maintenance, you may have an outbuilding that you'd like to see converted into a living space. Perhaps you'd like to have an AirB&B, ADU, or Guest Lodging. I'm here to help. I enjoy converting space into attractive living arrangements. Being in Theatre, I have an artistic eye for spaces. I have been doing this ever since my first house. Now you can take advantage of my experience. I am not licensed to do electric or major plumbing. I can install new fixtures or lights, etc.
Other projects may include building a raised-bed garden, a brick outdoor barbeque, painting (interior/exterior), brush clearing, dump runs (I have a pickup.) Creating a RV pad. Or whatever creative ideas you have.
While I am not licensed, I can do certain upgrades that you been wanting to do. I've also worked with contractors to do the coded work. For example, I converted an old wood workshop on my property into a commercial kitchen.
Complete with all the zoning and building requirements. My ex-wife ran cooking classes out of that kitchen. Point is, there are all sorts of uses for your outbuildings.

As a side shuffle I have been "saving" vintage campers for resale. I am on my 9th camper now, a 1953 "Tin Can" style camper. This would be another idea you might find interesting to either finance a restoration or get your hands busy with the work. If you have the space for me to do this on the side that would be a bonus. Currently I am living in Sebastopol with another Barter to Rent arrangement. This situation was meant to be temporary as I looked for a more permanent location closer to Healdsburg. I am renovating a travel trailer.
I am looking for a cabin, guest house or ADU or a private room in your house to live in and if needed to renovate at the same time. I would consider bring my own travel trailer, if you have an RV pad with complete hookups. I may be able to bring my own, if it looks like a good match.
In other words, we can be creative as long as I have a roof and bed and plumbing!! What do you have???
Finally, I am a Peaceful and quiet person. I'm an Old Hippie, and still have the core values of Peace and Love. I have a MFA in Theatre and have volunteered at the Raven Theatre.
