A voter ID card is an identification proof of an Indian citizen aged 18 years and above. The Election Commission of India provides a voter ID card once you are eligible to cast a vote in the elections. Since the launch of digital voter ID, applicants can apply for it by following the below steps:
Step 1: Go to theNational Voters Services Portal (NVSP) website and click on ‘Login’.
Step 2: Enter all valid credentials to log in.
Step 3: After logging in, click the ‘Fill Form 6’ button under the ‘New registration for general electors’ tab.

How to Download a Digital Voter ID?
The government enables electors to download digital voter ID cards from the National Voters Services Portal (NVSP). Here are the steps onhow to download a digital voter card:
Step 1: Go to theNational Voters Services Portal (NVSP) website.
Step 2: Enter all valid credentials to log in or register on the site to log in.
Step 3:Click on the ‘E-EPIC Download’ tab available on the homepage.
Step 4: Select the ‘EPIC No.’ or ‘Form Reference no.’.
Step 5: Enter the EPIC number or the form reference number you received at the time of filling out the form.
Step 6: Select the state and click on the ‘Search’ button.
Step 7: The Voter ID details will be displayed on the screen. Click on the ‘Send OTP’ button. However, please note that your mobile number must be updated on the portal to receive the OTP. You can update your mobile number by filling ‘Form 8’ on the NVSP website.
Step 8: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and click on the ‘Verify’ button.
