But when it comes to how to get the Bull Goat armor, Elden Ring players only have one option: to swear fealty to the Volcano Manor, take on Patches' request, and defeat the current wearer of this armor set: Great Horned Tragoth. His questline can be started by traveling to the Murkwater Cave , which is found in a ravine East of the Agheel Lake North Site of Grace. Players seeking this area early on in their adventure should be careful as an NPC Invader patrols the ravine near the cave entrance. Although the Invader can be difficult to defeat for low-level players, it's recommended for those looking to use daggers as the encounter rewards Reduvia, a very powerful weapon for the early game.

Once players make it through Murkwater Cave, they'll enter a boss room and trigger a fight against Patches. The NPC is incredibly easy to defeat (especially compared to Elden Ring's other early-game bosses) and he will yield to the Tarnished after his health drops low enough.

After players meet Patches (NPC) , he will tell them to return to him later on. This can be done by leaving the area and coming back (usually via a Site of Grace as simply leaving the room won't work). If players are struggling to progress Patches' dialogue, they can try purchasing an item from him first. Once players return and proceed his quest, he will offer them a chest to open.

Opening this particular chest is a trap and will teleport players to Mistwood Ruins. From there, they can continue Patches questline. The prerequisite is that the NPC must be at Volcano Manor when players make their way to the firey location, and they must "join Volcano Manor" to be able to engage in NPC Invasion Hunts. Accepting a hunt request from Patches at Volcano Manor will set players on the path to getting the Bull-Goat Armor.

Where To Find The Bull-Goat Armor In Elden Ring

Once players have the Letter from Patches, they can go into their inventory and read it to find out where the mark is that they must hunt. If players want to get their hands on this heavy armor set they'll first have to defeat the mighty warrior that wears it. Interacting with the letter will put a red mark on the players' map pointing towards the Great Horned Tragoth .

Unfortunately, starting his Invasion means going through a particularly annoying boss for some. To reach the area where the Invasion Sign is, players will need to climb the Ruin-Strewn Precipice until they reach the top and do battle with Magma Wyrm Makar .

After the mighty Wyrm is defeated, players will find the Invasion Sign in the same room, nearby a new Site of Grace that opens up. Inside, players will find Great Horned Tragoth. What Does The Bull-Goat Armor Do?

The Bull-Goat Armor is one of the heaviest setups in the game, adding a whopping 63 weight to Tarnished if they decide to wear the entire set. Although players will likely move slowly without a ton of Endurance, the trade-off is worth it to some as the armor set provides heavy resistances, 100 Poise, and great defensive stats.

It's definitely one of the best armor sets in Elden Ring for those looking for additional damage resistance. Past its impressive stats, it looks incredible, with two massive jutting horns that stand out from the torso.
