Last week, my Mom forwarded us an email with all these incredibly detailed, adorable food photos. The boys insisted sharing these with you!The email was one of those viral emails that was forwarded thousands of times, and we have no idea who originally compiled them. While I track down the original sources to credit, please enjoy!
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, my friends!

Those are all really cute. I think this is a great idea for kids to get them interested in baking. It’s called bake and win. http://www.amazon.com/Bake-Win-Nonstick-Silicone-Baking/dp/B00K4S1L1K

Just toooo adorable! My favorite is “Sleepy rice teddy dreaming under the cozy egg blankie.” Thank you for sharing. And thank you for all of the hard work you put into making Steamy Kitchen the amazing site that it is!
When I used to be active on Twitter, you were always very kind. It’s still hard to believe that you took the time to “talk” with me.
Wishing you and your family the happiest of holidays and the very best in the new year!

Those are so Japanese!! I can remember going to the Y100 store and seeing all the bento boxes. I wish I’d bought more than I did! Then I’d go to Off House and look at the bento box ‘cookbooks’ they had for sale. The concept of spending that much time making a lunch was beyond me, but they sure looked like fun to eat!

The kitty in coffee is from Yawahada (http://sanpasta.ocnk.net/product/427). One of several English articles about it (http://www.swimmingly.com/relationships/cats/cat-shaped-marshmallows-are-here-so-get-ready-to-drink-only-hot-chocolate-from-now-on/).

I loved the photos! If I had young children, I’d do this. But elders used to tell us to not play with our food, so has that ended?
