For Paneer Pulao
1 tsp oil
2 tsp butter
1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
1 tbsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tbsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tbsp green chilli paste
3 tbsp tomato puree
1 cup rice (chawal) , soaked for 1 hour and drained
1 cup paneer (cottage cheese) cubes
salt to taste
a pinch of sugar
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp curd (dahi)
For The Garnish
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)

- Soak 1 cup of rice in enough water for 30 minutes.
- Drain well and keep aside.
How to make quick paneer pulao

- Add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes or till the onions turn translucent.
- Add the chopped ginger and garlic.
- Now add green chili paste and sauté on a medium flame for another 1 minute till they release their flavour.
- Add the tomato purée and let it cook for a minute. Keep stirring while it’s getting cooked or else it might get stucked to the bottom.
- Add the soaked and drained rice and sauté for another 1 minute.
- Likewise, add the paneer and sauté for 1 more minute.
- Now put 2 cups of hot water, salt and sugar. Adding sugar will enhance the taste of yourPaneer Pulao.
- Add garam masala and give it a stir. Always taste the water when you cook the rice for salt and spices.
- Add the curds and mix well.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistle. Allow the steam to escape naturally before opening the lid. Mix yourpaneer pulao | paneer rice |quick paneer pulao in a pressure cooker |well with the help of a spatula or a wooden spoon.
- Serve the paneer pulao hot garnished with coriander leaves.
