The Top 3

At the top of the OK rankings sit two infielders with a left handed arm in between. Each prospect has shown the ability to compete at a high level against some of the best competition with room for even more projection.

Garrett Shull SS / RHP / Enid , OK / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 1 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 35 / POS: 9

Shull jumps up to the number one spot in the rankings for the 2024 class coming off of his big Spring on the 6A stage. When we saw him this Summer, Shull showed that the athleticism is starting to make jumps catching up to his high level baseball skills. The switch hitter shows an advanced approach from both sides of the plate with the power starting to come through to match his high hit tool. Defensively, Shull is showing the ability to stay on the left side of the infield with good actions and arm strength that is continuing to get better. Shull is one of the more complete players in the Country that has already shown the ability to compete against higher level competition.

Kash Mayfield LHP / OF / Elk City, OK / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 2 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 25 / POS: 4

Mayfield shows a clean, and effortless delivery with a fluid arm action that has produced fastballs up to 88 mph this summer. Mayfield has also flashed an advanced breaking ball at times. With his easy delivery and 6-foot-3 frame he is one of the most projectable arms in the country.

Owen Coil 2B / 3B / Stillwater, OK / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 1

Coil sees his jump in the rankings due to his big Summer that was capped by his play at the Future Games. Coil has shown the tools the play up at the next level with solid measurables on both sides of the ball. Where Coil really shines is his high baseball IQ and positional versatility. Coil shows the he can handle the bat against some of the top arms in the Country and hit the ball with power even from his smaller frame. The left handed hitter showed good gap power over the Summer and would look for that tool to continue to make strides as he gets stronger. Coil is also known as one of the better base runners in the area as well as being able to play at a high level in both the infield and the outfield.

The Risers
As with every season that goes by, many players take major leaps physically and developmentally. Below are some of the biggest risers since our latest rankings.

Cale Sudderth 1B / LHP / Lone Grove , OK / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 2

Sudderth recently showed off his strong tools this fall where he put his power potential on display with a smooth left handed stroke. Sudderth also possesses a big time arm from the outfield which also translates on to the mound where he works the fastball up to 85 mph from the left side. An interesting two-way prospect, look for Sudderth to continue to polish his game in the future and starts with a very solid foundation.

2024 INF/LHP ⁦@CaleSudderth⁩ (Lone Grove) showed impressive two way potential with some physicality and leverage at the plate from the left side and up to 85 and feel for low 70’s breaking ball on the bump. Highly projectable athlete w/present strength. pic.twitter.com/5qkbNOSUMN

Carlos Lopez LHP / 1B / Mustang, OK / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 4

Lopez sees his rise in the rankings after putting on one of the better displays in BP from the year where the left handed hitter showed smooth power to the pull side. Lopez attacks the ball with an easy rhythm and repeatable statistics and showed advanced barrel control. Look for the power to play up at another level as he continues to add strength in the future to go along with one of the top swings in the State. Lopez also shows some potential on the mound as a strike thrower from the left side with the fastball working in the low 80's.

Parker showed a strong ability to drive the ball to all fields with good gap power while taking good routes to the ball with the hands. Parker shows good bat speed and hand speed from the left side of the plate.

The Newcomers
In the offseason, we found a couple of difference makers who earned their way into our rankings. Below we highlight three prospects new to the top 30 spots of our rankings.

Coby Bell RHP / 3B / Red Oak, OK / 2024

He shows a unique ability to continually miss bats while pounding the fastball. Bell also shows a mid 70's curveball with tight spin and some late downward depth. Bell has a physical size at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds making the projection in the future very strong.

Rankings StateRank: 23 / POS: 4

Kendrick joins the rankings after a strong performance at the Preseason ID last month in Tulsa. Kendrick matches strong hand speed and good overall bat speed to generate strong exit velocities in the mid 90's with good routes to the ball. Look for the physical outfielder to play a big role for Stillwater this upcoming Spring.

2024 OF ⁦@KendrickTalon⁩ (⁦@SHSPioneersBSBL⁩) used his physical 6’1 195 LB frame to generate exit velos up to 94.3 mph with strength in the hands and good leverage. Future power potential that takes good routes to the ball and shows a feel for the barrel in the zone. pic.twitter.com/K6gAymkkwt

Nathan Gann OF / Mustang, OK / 2024

Rankings StateRank: 29 / POS: 6

Gann showed a smooth left-handed stroke with short routes to the ball that produced line drives all over the field. Even with a leaner frame, Gann is able to show some strength with the barrel. He also shows smooth actions as a defender that covers a ton of ground with instinctual routes to the ball.
