Congrats to my dad (Tim Barlow) on 30 years at the same company- that’s very rare in this day and age. He’s taught me a lot in life but here are a few thing’s that stick out to me at the moment. 1. Do one thing everyday of your life that scares you. True growth happens when you are out of your comfort zone. 2. When you tell someone that you are going to do something, do it: when you inevitably make a mistake because we are human, take accountability for it and don’t let it happen again. 3. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Work hard where you are at and God will handle the rest. 4. The harder you work - fhe “luckier” you get. 5. Underachievers can’t stand overachievers and overachievers can’t stand underachievers. 6. The difference in the person at the top of the leaderboards every month and the person at the bottom of the leaderboards every month boils down to their mindset and discipline. 7. Whether you think you can or think you can’t - you’re right.

The last 8.5 years at D5 and Song were invaluable. From Super Bowl to experiential, creative to measurement and media planning, I learned so much from all the amazing humans that have made D5/Song a powerhouse. I've also valued peer recognition over any other thing. 🏆 .Awards and metric accomplishments are great and show talent, hard work and personal ability.
